Volodarka is a settlement with a rich history in the Bilo Tserkva district of Kyiv Oblast, first mentioned in chronicles as early as 1150. Located on the Ros River, it was an important defensive point of Kyiv Rus', evidenced by the remains of an ancient fortress and burial mounds. Volodarka played a role as a trade route to Galicia and endured difficult times during the Mongol invasion and Cossack uprisings.
