The Old Town Market Square in Warszawa is the historical heart of the city, originating in the 13th-14th centuries. Surrounded by eighteen streets, it has been the site of important events for centuries, from executions to demonstrations. Destroyed during World War II, it was meticulously rebuilt in the 1940s and 50s, regaining its former appearance. Today, it captivates with its colorful townhouses, under which lie cellars open to visitors. In the center of the square is a fountain featuring the Siren of Warszawa. Wikipedia
