Schloss Allmendingen comprises the historic Alten Schloss, possibly inhabited since the 16th century, and the Neubau built in 1783/84. Originally designed as a moated castle, a tower of the Alten Schloss remains today. The Herren Freyberg-Eisenberg have been in possession since, uniting both parts with a connecting passage in 1784. The Schlossgarten and Schlosskapelle with Walburgas von Kopenhagen’s gravestone invite visitors to linger. Wikipedia
