Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Solomiya Krushelnytska is a magnificent historical building constructed in 1900 according to the design of Zygmunt Gorgolewski. The theatre impresses with its Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque architecture, rich sculptural decoration, including the statue “Glory” and allegorical compositions. Since its opening, the theatre has hosted renowned figures of art and offered a diverse repertoire, from classical operas by Wagner and Verdi to works by Ukrainian composers Lysenko and Hulyak-Artemovsky.
