Ruwa is a young town in Mashonaland East Province, Zimbabwe, approximately 20 km east of Harare. Founded in 1986, the town now has around 94,000 inhabitants and is characterized by agriculture. Ruwa offers good educational opportunities (primary, secondary, and vocational schools) and healthcare facilities. Ruwa is also known for its Shona sculptures and the Kufunda Learning Centre, which offers courses for the local population. Notably, Ruwa was the site of an incident in 1994 when students at Ariel Primary School reported alleged UFO sightings. Wikipedia
