The Baťův kanál (Průplav Otrokovice-Rohatec) is a 51.5 km long international waterway in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, running along the March river. Originally planned for freight transport in the 1930s, the canal has been used for tourist boating since 1996. It features nine ports and numerous mooring points, is navigable from May to October, and is currently being expanded with the construction of new locks towards Kroměříž and Hodonín to improve recreational boating opportunities. A preserved coal barge near Sudoměřice testifies to the canal’s historical importance.Wikipedia
