Nevada, known as "The Battle Born State," is a western U.S. state famous for Las Vegas and its casinos. Originally part of Spain and Mexico, it joined the Union in 1864 during the Civil War. Its economy, historically driven by silver and gold mining, now largely depends on tourism. Despite its large size, Nevada is sparsely populated, with most residents concentrated in Las Vegas, Henderson, and Reno.
