Domažlice, the traditional center of the Chodsko region, lies on the Zubřina River, 47 km southwest of Plzeň. This town of over 11,000 inhabitants boasts a historic center designated as an urban conservation area. Domažlice was an important fortress and the site of Hussite wars, with a monument on Baldov hill commemorating a significant battle.
