Prague Castle is the dominant and most important landmark in Prague and the Czech Republic, the seat of the Czech president with a rich history dating back to the 10th century. Originally a tribal fort, it gradually expanded and developed under the rule of the Přemyslids, Charles IV, and other rulers who left architectural traces of various styles. From the beginning, the castle was not only a political center but also the cultural and spiritual heart of the country, as evidenced by St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and many other historical buildings. Today, Prague Castle is not only a symbol of Czech statehood but also a remarkable complex of historical monuments that attracts tourists from all over the world. Wikipedia
