Nizhni Vorota is a picturesque village in the Carpathian Mountains, at the foot of the Vododilnyi Ridge, with a population of over 2200. Historically significant, first mentioned in the 12th century, it served as the “gateway” to Transcarpathia. The village is rich in history: bronze and gold treasures have been found here, and it was the site of events during the Tatar-Mongol invasion and national liberation struggles.
