Kuchurhan is a village in the Odesa region, an important point on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border with the Kuchurhan – Pervomaisk border crossing. The history of the village dates back to 1544, and it was once inhabited by German colonists, evidenced by the ruins of the Catholic Church of St. Joseph (part of the modern House of Culture) and the Church of St. Michael. The village has a tragic history, including being affected during the Holodomor and suffering damage from an earthquake. Currently, the population of Kuchurhan is approximately 3700 people.Wikipedia
