Žebrák, a royal chamber town with a rich history, is located 16 km southwest of Beroun. The first mention dates back to 1280, but the town also experienced difficult times – Hussite sieges, fires, and looting during the Thirty Years’ War. In the 19th century, Žebrák was visited by prominent Czech artists such as Erben and Klicpera. Today, you can find the Municipal Library and the Žebrák Museum, a branch of the Czech Karst Museum, with an exhibition dedicated to the history of the town and the work of painter Jaroslav Hněvkovský.Wikipedia
