Antalya is known as the tourism capital of Türkiye and attracts a large number of visitors, especially during the summer months. Throughout history, it has been home to many civilizations such as the Lycians, Romans, Seljuks, and Ottomans, and boasts a rich past with its ancient cities. Founded in the Hellenistic period, the city is now Türkiye’s fifth most populous province and its economy is based on commerce, agriculture, and tourism.
