The Río Colorado, 1114 km long, is an important river in Argentina that marks the northern border of Patagonia. Originating in the Andes, it flows through the provinces of Mendoza, Neuquén, La Pampa and Río Negro before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. The river is fed by the Río Grande and enables the irrigation of vast agricultural lands thanks to the Casa de Piedra Dam, and an aqueduct under construction also supplies water to local populations. Its flow rate varies considerably, with cyclical floods that can reach over 10,000 m³/s.Wikipedia
