Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, Bulgaria’s only nuclear facility and the largest in the region, is located on the Danube River near the Romanian border. Established in 1970, it currently operates two reactors generating nearly 2,000 MWe. While older units were decommissioned by 2007, plans are underway to add a seventh reactor – potentially using equipment from a cancelled project – and upgrade existing ones to extend their lifespan. The plant plays a vital role in Bulgaria’s energy production and is diversifying its fuel supply with agreements with Westinghouse and Framatome.Wikipedia
